Currently the Cubs are a -400 favorite (Bodog). The Nats are the biggest under dog of the year today.

Bergey is going to have to pitch great.  Harden is the best pitcher in baseball, we are going to need some luck to win.

good God, I might just take out a small bet, because those are ridiculous (but justified odds).

Zimmerman needs to hit a freakin' homer. It's been a while.

He's saving them for next season.

If he didn't hit a single home run for the rest of this season, but then came out and hit 40 next season.... Id be OK with that.  Not saying it would happen, just speaking hypothetically.

I think a guy named Harris stole his power. Not sure which one, though.

Zimmerman has been hitting for a high average since coming back off the DL. His power will come.

QFT  I don't care about this season. I just hope he comes back next season and kicks ass.

Definitely. I'm just hoping that 6 or 7 years down the road we're not saying "what could have been" about him. That'd suck.

Nice.

It's my birthday, so I'll go do something happy rather than watching us get clobbered 78-0.

That would suck.  While they haven't given him a long term deal yet, it would seem they have already invested a lot of their future into Zimm being the future of this club.  I think it would be a mistake to continue thinking that he is automatically going to become the "franchise guy."  With that said, it is hard not to like Zimmerman.  He went to UVA, used to party down at JMU (where his GF went), and has had some serious clutch hits.  I hope we don't have to look back at him as wasted potential.

Well, I guess it depends on what you expect from him down the line. Injuries could also do it.

I thought maybe you meant like letting him get away.
