Gameday Thread: Nationals @ Mets, Game 3 (L)
« Topic Start: April 06, 2006, 06:06:12 PM »

Ramon Ortiz (9-11, 5.36)

Ortiz (9-11, 5.36 ERA in 2005) will face the Mets for the third tine in time in his career. He is 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA against them. The Nationals are hoping that Ortiz, who is playing for his third team in three years, will be the quality pitcher that he was with the Angels back in 2002 when he won 15 games and had a 3.77 ERA.

Pedro Martinez (15-8, 2.82)

After months of everyone fussing about his toe, Martinez (15-8, 2.82 ERA in 2005) is taking a turn in the first week. And he's pitching against one of the few teams he hasn't buried in his career. His record in 13 career appearances against the Expos-Nationals is merely 3-2. But his ERA last year and for his career against them is 2.08. His career record in April is 30-8. How the chill of an April evening affects his toe will have more to do with his effectiveness that his April history.

Yea I sucks, and the biggest villain isn't Angelos, he'd love nothing more than to have Comcast add MASN to its lineup. Any anger should be directed at Comcast, not anyone else.

For $40 a month basic package, dump Comcast and go with Direct TV, you'll get the Nats games.

Laugh...what a freaking joke, I can watch the BarnSwallows but I can't watch my own team.  How ridiculous is this for a SECOND SEASON?!?  What a bunch of cry-babies these rich people are.

Or Cox, if you live in Northern VA or Fredericksburg.  Or RCN, but I have no idea where they're available.

Some homeowners and condo associations don't allow dishes outside their homes.  And I think just about every apartment complex says you can't.  And I beleive there are locations where DirecTV is not offered as well.

I have bad news for you Nats19, if you get the basic DirecTV package...the one that Kenza mentioned...you will lose Capitals coverage unless you get the Super Package...which puts the price tag at $99.00 a month.  This is why I've been hoping that Comcast works this crap out...and haven't changed to the dish yet.

I'm not an expert on Direct TV, I use a Canadian Dish company.
You should take the time to browse the Direct TV site... http://www.directv.com/ They have a Direct TV vs Cable link on the right.

Another score for the Mets...this is what I'm afraid will happen with us this year.  After Livan and Patterson are done...we are done.
