Brother made Mom's tsimmis as a treat. Kishke, frozen carrots, yams, and maple syrup. Undercooked it a bit so the syrup didn't permeate the kishke quite right (so he says), but it was good and enough left over for my Dad to be happy. My nephew's wife made some chocolate chip cookies that were chunky and cooked fully, like my Dad's mom used to make. Real nostalgia meal.
