Payroll estimated to reach over $100 Million
« Topic Start: January 10, 2013, 06:29:07 PM »
According to Cots, we have $90 Million already committed to just 14 players. B-R gives us an estimate of $105 Million. We can now officially say we have a big market club.

Adjust it for inflation using 2008 as the base year.

The luxury tax is $189 million.  We got plenty of room.  Cano next offseason or LAC!

As expected....it will continue to rise as the young core matures. Next up for a big extension is JZimm.

If he doesn't get extended this off season,  barring injury or something else drastically lowering his value,  I'm thinking the ship has sailed on that one

Is it just me or does anyone else find it interesting that Stammen doesn't have an agent?

There's no chance they don't extend JZim

Unless of course he has a decent agent. He can always wait till he's a free agent and then go home to Milwaukee

He'll have options.  Maybe he pulls a gio and gives the team a sweet heart deal,  or maybe he looks at the Cain extension and some recent free agent deals.  Every passing year should add to the team's urgency

Unfortunately a lot of people are going to preach LAC unless the Lerners somehow change their ethnicity.

I'm sorry, is this an accusation of anti-semitism?  You realize ~95% of the LAC crowd had no idea the Lerners were Jewish (until the Lerner cheerleaders voiced their displeasure) and the other ~5% are member of the tribe that don't like them for their incompetence.  Get off the cross we need the wood for barbecue.
