Play GM For The Day: June 27th edition
« Topic Start: June 27, 2009, 09:28:47 PM »
Well for starters, it's been a month now since our last Play GM For the Day and in last edition, I had DFA'ing Austin Kearns and Joel Hanrahan as a big one ... that still hasn't happened so that needs to change.

1) Move Stammen to the pen, DFA Hanrahan, call-up Olsen
2) Demote Martis, call up Balester
3) DFA Kearns, call up Maxwell
4) DFA Belliard, call up Davis
5) DFA Colome, call up Martin

OF: Dunn, Dukes, Harris, Willingham, Maxwell
IF: Zimmerman, Johnson, Guzman, Hernandez, Gonzalez, Davis
C: Bard, Nieves
Rotation: Lannan, Olsen, Zimmermann, Detwiler, Balester (although if Detwiler has a few more poor starts, he should go down)
RP: Beimel, MacDougal, Stammen, Martin, Tavarez, Villone, Clippard

i don't do anything, because the lerners don't want to pay for a released kearns, belliard, hanrahan and colome, while also having to pay for their replacements

Cutting Kearns at this point would cost what, like 18 billion?  Or is it trillion?  That dude has it made in the shade, provided he doesn't debase too much of his self-esteem on account of his new post as Dunn's manservant.

If I were truly GM, I'd keep Olsen in AAA for a bit and let JD Martin start instead of him.

I think a player can only spend 20 days on a rehab assignment.

If hammondsnats were really GM for a day, his first order of business would be to hold a press conference to declare his owners as cheap.

In fact, it's the only move he'd make.
