Simmons has a bit of Otis Nixon going on in his profile pic.

Looks about 40, only 22.

And look at that....

He's a career .231 hitter. So your point holds no water. To use your words, nice try.

No crap.

His approach from the right side of the plate is fine. Stick to slurping Harper. K?

I LOVE when hitters walk to first before the call is made.  Thanks for expanding the strike zone, douche.

I've always wondered if that makes the ump more likely to call a borderline strike.  In this case, I think it did :)

wusses. I was at a Rangers game in Arlington 6 days ago that started at 105 degrees. Another one last year I sat directly in the sun at 104.

Kevin Goldstein said nothing infuriates an ump more than a hitter walking before the call is made.  I don't blame them, especially if it's a borderline call.

Typically Arlington's humidity level is quite a bit lower than Atlanta's, however.

True. At least Houston had the sense to put a roof on it; people would die in that town.

Yeah, it's really frustrating that he's struggling, but it's natural. There's a learning curve.

Zimmerman and Morse really putting it together.
