The Nats are getting really good at leaving runners on base... Maybe they all need to see a hypnotist to make them see the bases as empty when they are up to bat.

That's why we acquired Soriano.  He'll fit right in with the rest of our guys.

2006 just hasn't been my year sport-wise. First the cowboys(deadskins sux), then the houston rockets, and now the nationals. WHen does it stop?

This has been the most embarassing series ever played in the history of baseball.

I just checked, Ryan Church went 0-4 last night. He's now hitting .130 in New Orleans, so he's not going to be called up anytime soon. So can any of the pitchers down there hit and play CF?

Hey. it's nowhere fans in KC & Detroit didn't have to go in recent years, so I'll just pop a brewski and spend the summer in grim resignation

Heh, well I was deliberately exaggerating somewhat (the huge font, etc.) but I wasn't joking.  This homestand has been nothing short of astoundingly pathetic.

Right, look at the bright side.  Some of us may be able to peel our eyes off the gameday zombie maker machine and actually do some work for which we are already being paid.

But just an occasional peek back won't hurt, will it?

Double great.  I just love the strategy of intentionally walking a batter to put another runner in scoring position.  Of course that's not why they did it, but it is stupid nonetheless.
