Does he take Orlov out of the top 6?

Yes, so it has to be a legit guy and not just some scrub. Orlov is a rookie, so I'd like to not have to rely on him in the playoffs and would like to have a veteran guy, especially one that can complement Green.

Now, if Green gets hurt again, then we absolutely need at least one defenseman. If he's healthy, it's something we can explore but not needed.

wow. what a game. canada scores 4 goals in 5 minutes and cuts the lead deficit to 1 with 5 minutes left. russia changes goalies. the cold goalie comes in and makes all the saves and gives no rebounds. crazy. canada was rolling at the end

I just can't figure this freaking team out. Nice winning streak then got clubbed in San Jose and tonight looking horrible against LA Kings. They even scored the first goal and then got absolutely pwned rest of period. What the hell is wrong with them? The absence of talent on this team is staggering.

They suck against the West, they always have, the old did and now the current do. Hence the reason I don't seriously ever feel they'll win the cup IF they somehow managed to make it to the Finals.

I think I'm going to pull out the old blue Bondra jersey for tonight's game (even though it has beer and tomato sauce all over it). Tarik's piece about a cooling rivalry is utter nonsense...the Caps and Penguins (and their fans) have had a hate on going for longer than Ovie and Cindi have been alive.

And I'm looking forward to seeing a new D-man.

He was getting some pretty good reviews with the Rangers' system last year, so he could end up decent.
