Well, looks like Dukes won't be staying in Syracuse for long.

Is Fredi G paying off Manny to tank against the Marlins?? Why the F*** do you bring in a lefty specialist to face Cody Ross?!

 Cody Ross VS. LEFT: .256 / .931 VS. RIGHT: .277 / .760

What happened?

Willingham looks like he might have hurt his back.

He'll probably be day to day for a week or so, then right before he goes on the DL we'll be told that he's about ready to come back.

His OPS is so much higher vs. lefties that it would have made sense to bring in a righty anyways.

Which is THE argument against putting a lefty against him. He dominates lefties by comparison. If they are looking at BA and not the OPS, they should all be fired.

i still can't believe how hernandez didn't even swing the bat to attempt to get the run in.

Belliard has to be the next one out opening Harris to become UT guy and Morgan in center.

Harris with a single and three walks tonight , this might be a good place for a steal or hit and run as Guzman doesn't put many balls in the air.

I still can't believe they had Znn throwing offspeed stuff to EB instead of just blowing past him with the fastball. That was the original turning point.

yeah that was bad too.  nieves/mccatty/zimmermann need to get together on that.

The common link to a lot of our young pitching mistakes? Nieves.

I just don't think the guy calls a very good game.

For some reason we want to make EB look as good as possible. We do everything in our power to make sure that he has a good game. I've never seen anything like it before. Maybe Manny has a soft spot for EB or something.

Nice steal by Willie.  He has now been on base 4 times tonight and stolen 2 bases.  You can't expect much better from a lead off guy, he is getting on base and in scoring position.

yeah but it's our 2 and 3 guys that have trouble bringing him in this series.

I feel like less of a moron for insinuating that Jordan Zimmermann would be the Nats' lone ASG representative this year (although I'm still sure to be wrong).

Unfortunately, he and Lannan appear to be the only Nats worth a damn for the time being.

yep, but there isn't much more Harris can do to give them opportunities.  I just love the type of player Harris is.  With regular at-bats, he would put up some solid numbers.
