b.j. upton's playing time has really decreased.  he's struggling big time ... what do you think it'd take to make a trade for him?  just curious as to what some of you think.

AZ would probably surrender his soul to get that done.

He'd be another man-crush for a few here but I'm not saying any names so as to not expose hammondsnats.

Doesn't he strikeout a lot?

wow, made it all the way to the bottom of the 5th.

I'm reading the mood of the game.  The offense has gone into hibernation, after three runs and Craig Stammen is pitching to the heart of their lineup in the fifth, now sixth, inning.

This isn't a recipe for success...with a one run lead.

About 3 times for every walk he draws.

He's nothing special. He had one decent year in '07 but I don't see why even the need to contemplate the idea.

I think his hitting is his true talent level.  No luck involved.

Maybe a change of Leagues would help him?

Good thing the Giants couldn't hit their way out of a paper bag or we could be on the other end of this game. Stammen has 3 BB and 0 K.

then don't.  it's a message board so all topics are open for discussion.

the dude may or may not be on the trading block.  he's one of those young guys with tons of potential, maybe a change of scenery helps?  the fact we don't have a RF is why i bring up the topic.

not saying i'm in love with the idea, i'm just curious.

He has to be good for at least one more inning.

He's been a professional. Considering most of his outs have been groundouts and he's sinkerball/contact pitcher, he's been good. he's getting outs the way the staff expected him to.

Clippard pitched two innings last night.
