Why am I watching the Nats then?

it's all about the walk-off.

Uh, did Ray really suggest Lance Berkman as a possible replacement for Dunn?

In the interest of fairness I think we should measure this in pages / 9 innings, or EPA (earned page average).  From this perspective we have only a 3.75 EPA this game, not very impressive.

Not only suggested it but said he was one of his favorite alternatives.

Berkman's problem is motivation. He's got as good of a batting eye as Dunn. If they sign a big time OF, then yeah, get Berkman with a weight clause in the contract.

I'm wondering if Riggleman has chatted with Zimmerman yet about pinch hitting.

Maybe Nyjers last chance to HR this year.  He has destroyed Nook Logan's record for the most ABs by a Nat without one in a season.

I was cheering for Nyjer to hit a homer there. Oh well. Looks like this game will last until eternity.

Oh, wait until I get into the peripherals, like Posts / Poster (obviously a post count inflated by a bunch of posts by the same guy isn't as "good" or sustainable in the long run as a lot of different posters with similar post counts).  Everything's going to get put on a rigorous statistical basis.  This forum won't even know what hit it.

We're going to let Sportsfan go, he wants a multiyear deal but we need someone who can play better defense.

Well you have to get into post length.  A poster with high ISO (isolated post length) is generally contributing more per post, even if the actual number of posts is small.  We also need to consider ReplIeS / Post (RISP) as a measure of post importance.  Someone should really be writing this down.
