Adam, you keep this up and we'll be saying Prince who? I was just plain wrong and I apologize. Your defense is good too.

You must be smoking crack along with your neighbors if you think him having a couple of good games against some crap teams is really going to cause anyone to forget us not getting Prince Fielder.  Way too many people here get a couple of lucky breaks confused with someone being consistent and real.

I was saying his career is over. There's a lot of games left but the guy has been solid. The people slobbering over tracy are worse.

Tomorrow is game four, let's not pretend like the guy is ready for his MVP award.

I think I just said that. He isn't embarrassing himself and the sport. That was my previous assumption.

Maybe we'll say, "Damon, who?" if he keeps this up. "Prince who?, cmon.

All that said, Laroche was my boy this weekend. I've never been a fan of him and didn't like the signing, but at least we're seeing his good side (finally).

You were kinda overreacting at the time (I forget if I posted it in that thread or not, but I definitely remember thinking it while reading your posts). While he has been very good so far, I would still withhold judgment. I don't think he'll be terrible, but he may end up being like a .250/.325/.430 hitter, which is not great for a 1B.

 Small sample size melodrama posts slay me but by all means continue the celebration. :lmao:

Those hyping LaRoche, Desmond, and Tracy are sure placing some long bets. Unless Fielder has a free agent regression and Laroche has a career year, he won't come near the value of Fielder.

On a competitive team, you earn your starting role through performance across a season. I, for one, don't plan on judging him over a few games but it is laughable to think we could not have done better at 1B, SS, and the OF.

Winning our home opener and the first series is enough for me. Keep winning. The career years take care of themselves.

I don't know what to make of LaRoche - his first game, he looked awful.  Since then, he's looked really good.  Given his history of slow starts, I don't know what to think.  Maybe we should trade him if he stays hot - I don't know how likely it is that he will have a career year at 32 years old coming off shoulder surgery.

I'll be first in line to apologize if laroche can have the kind of season Rizzo signed him for, but until then I'm just gonna enjoy the unexpected production from an otherwise dreadful bottom 2/3 of the lineup
