Jesus Christ, Stras has gone off the deep end over being benched.

Pitch Stras tomorrow.

No kidding around, put him on the mound.  The previously stated plan was for him to pitch one more game anyway and it's not like he's been shut down for more than one skipped start.  If they don't tell the media before 2-3ish then there is limited opportunity for a circus.

The alternative is to pitch Wang or Gorz on Sunday and that is a pretty crappy option.  I don't trust Wang and we'll need Gorz in long relief at some point.  Every game counts at this point, we've got to beat out the Reds in order to play the WC winner in the DCS.

I don't now about Gorzo, but I'd be astounded if CMW pitches...probably ever again for a professional team.

Pitch Stras tomorrow.

Can't.  Davey is saving St. Stephen as a pinch hitter.

I like the idea of Strasburg as a pinch-hitter. Sounds like Stammen will start. I remember that he was decent about three out of four starts in 2010, until the Nats chose Detwiler over Stammen, and sent Stammen to Syracuse to learn to be a relief pitcher.

Duke is the only one qualified to start that won't mess up the bullpen.

Strasburg's changeup was the most unhittable pitch this year by a starter.

I still don't understand how he gets the movement he does on his changeup.

so why dont we just say someone who wont be playing the rest of this series is hurt and bring in strasburg, like the cards conveniently did with their game 2 bum (though maybe he was really hurt, but the fact he was a spent starter is kind of bullcrap)

it would be so wwf, i'd love it. as adamant as rizzo is with shutting him down, i cant help but think the crap hitting the fan might lead to a crazy decision

I hope not... he's probably stopped throwing on the side... no way you can bring him back at this point.

mlb network pregame said he was out there throwing (today i think) and he felt great. i secretly hope he has been throwing in the stadium batting cage all along
