Hey, if he's gonna send out a balking pitcher, he's gonna have to take what he gets in comeupance.
Can you imagine if Angel Hernandez was behind the plate?

do not like bringing in Joel at all in this situation. He could have control problems and he also has the penchant for giving up the long ball. Hope it works out.

Dude you can't balk with the bases empty, at least not in the way Sutton was indicating.

If you can't bring him in here, then he has no business being the closer

Balking still means the batter walks.

This is the sort of situation in which I expect Hanrahan to throw a wild pitch.

He was doing that while Zimmerman was on 2nd.

This is where we find out if Hanrahan has what it takes to be a Major League Closer.

Milledge continues his hitting streak and once again delivers.

Haven't been able to watch the whole game, but once again solid performance ... no run support.  What a shame.

other thoughts:  good for AK25 big homer.  It all started with the Kid Clutch at bat battling for 20 pitches then the double.

Why did they bring in Nieves?

double switch, the pitcher's spot is coming up in the ninth

double switch.

Flores' spot is was the last out, so it is the furthest from coming up to bat.

A balk is when you purposely try to deceive THE RUNNER not the person at bat.
You can't possibly balk, when no one is on base, since there is no deception.
