Brave man.

Cliff Lee leads MLB in pitches in the strike zone at 55.8% of the time, (JZ second at 55.1), and he's fourth in first pitch strikes at 67%... moral of the story? The Nats need to go up hacking early if they want to beat Lee.

I have a good feeling about this one - we have put Halliday in his place twice (albeit eventually losing), I think we can handle Lee.

For those going tonight - little or no chance of precip, just hot hot hot:

Yahoo! Weather has high of 91, low of 71, no precip for today - but for tomorrow they predict 'scattered strong storms' with 50% chance of rain - will the club pull another wuss-out like they did for the Pirates match two weeks ago when they postponed it only because of the 'threat' of rain?

Capital Weather Gang's NatCast has 'While not as hot as Monday afternoon's scorcher, it will be plenty warm and humid as well. Temperatures gradually fall back through the 80s.' - expect 87 degrees at first pitch, 81 at ninth inning, 10% chance of precip.

The good news though: no Metro track work scheduled.

Lee's been extremely unlucky so far and still has a 3.50 ERA.  If any team's going to help his BABIP regress, I suspect it is the Nats.

Damn fine seats too.

the original plan was to use the roof of the LF parking garage, so this is an upgrade.

bixler gets another start tonight.

i think i'll do what i did yesterday and i did for most of 2008 and 2009.  watch a blu-ray, play xbox, watch other tv, or do some chores and maybe flip back once an hour.  it's a lot less stressful and way more productive than sitting around watching the entire "game" from start to finish.

If they lose tonight and tomorrow, Nats will be a .400 team when this series is over.  Put another way, a 65-win team over the course of a full season.

Do relievers switch to the visitors' bullpen?

This is where radio is a good option. Charlie and Dave share your pain.

Nope, not tonight, we'll do fine.
Sorry I missed you on your birthday, was hard to pick out the Nats fans on the porch yesterday, but it sure was nice of Morse to hit a ball our way.
