It's time for a closed door meeting after this one.

Only Davey has the gravitas to save the season.  Werth is slumping, most have been losers their whole career and the rookies are rookies.

By my calculations over the last 35 games the Nats will have to play only .400 baseball to make the playoffs. (91) total wins

Everyone else will have to play .600 baseball to overtake the Nats...thats just not going to happen. Nats to playoffs with Strasburg or not. Good for the Nats!

Yeah, Nats are playoff locks.  It is nice that they weren't no-hit though (not that that seems to stop the Rays...)

Moore for first base in '12

LaRoche can't be counted on for a championship team at first.

No way LaRoche will be here next year. Always kills you when you need him most.

Of course they strand the two runners.

This isn't the type of team that can handle this adversity either. They are mostly all used to losing and collapsing. This is normal to them.

Rizzo will probably sign James Loney. He had a boner for him a few years ago.

Second-most runs a Nats starter has given up all year. Edwin Jackson gave up 8, all 8 earned, on June 28.

You just watch the players on our team and you can't envision them playing on a playoff team. They aren't that good.

Yup... let's put this in perspective, guys.  Games like this are pretty unusual, and not just for Stras.

We had so many amazing wins and great moments in the first 2/3 of the season. You just feel like we were due for a collapse like this of terrible baseball and bad breaks. I just hope they can recover before the division is lost and Atlanta starts getting hot again like they inevitably will.

There's two more two out runs, how many is that tonight? 5?

Stanton is a NATS KILLER. We should be walking him every time up. But you can't do that when you foolishly walk the guy in front of him.

Can we please get rid of Stammen already? His shelf life expired months ago. He's been dreadful.
