Rather than taking a shot after we leave a runner stranded, I'm just taking shots.

A drink helps the bad games go quickly.

You just knew that runner would score. #8 hitter reaches base with a single, they bunt him over and knock him in.

At least this gives Rizzo all the ammunition he needs to silence the "Strasburg shutdown" critics.

to his defense, he's not getting any calls at the knees.

Putrid.  I won't forget this losing streak anytime soon.

It probably won't end anytime soon.

Can someone please explain to me how this team can go from best in the majors to worst in the majors in the span of 5 games?

It's a good thing the only team that is a threat to us is also playing bad baseball.

I actually think this is good for the team. I think they needed to experience some difficulty to sober them up a bit for October.

I checked the standings, and yes, we're still the best.

It makes me sick to think that all of the amazing baseball we played this season will be washed down the drain because they collapse in the last 30-40 games. Not winning the division would be one of the biggest disappointments ever.

Don't forget to root against the wildcard contenders, now.  Just have to finish ahead of the Pirates.

Not a lot of losing streaks are full of close-fought one-run games where everyone plays well.

But at least somebody plays well. No one is right now.

As an outsider looking in...it seems to me in a game like this one they save Stras some innings by pulling him now after 4 innings and 67 pitches.

Ian Desmond are you serious? What the freak are you swinging at? Do they even give a crap?

I hope they get no hit. They deserve the embarrassment.

I'm just rooting for the no-hitter to be broken up at this point.

Desmond better still be hurt after that AB.  WTF was that?  He wasn't even with a foot on either half-ass swing?  Seriously?

jesus every team has gone through losing streaks and had a rough stretch this year.

obviously I hate losing, but I'd rather get this outta the way now and get hot in time for October.  teams that coast into the postseason with nothing to keep them in check usually get bounced early.
