FP, the offense isn't picking up anybody.

Every ball they smoke into the outfield goes right to their outfielder.

Being no-hit would be the perfect culmination of the night.

but the braves are not playing well either, we could've really gone up on them.  just making it hard on ourselves.

they say they aren't pressing, but you can see it ... the nats are pressing.
All I can think about when we waste away games like these is the 6 games we have remaining vs Philly and the 3 remaining vs Atlanta. We need to be winning as much as these games vs bad teams as we can because those 9 games are going to be very tough to win.

Bryce's ball carried to the outfielder because he has no plate discipline and had to swing at a crap pitch; we need to stop making excuses for them.

Is there a reason every team shows more emotion and energy than us? Enough with bashing Rizzo/Harper for having a breakdown, look at everyone else. Robots.

Eh, every team goes through slumps.  The Nats have been pretty lucky (or good) to avoid a prolonged one so far.  Nights like tonight are going to happen, and personally I try not to let games like this affect me very much.  Yeah, it's frustrating that Espinosa could have gotten a DP on that and kept the game 3-0, but he does get it almost every time.  It's annoying that none of our pitchers know how to hold runners and none of our catchers can throw them out, but it's not a total killer except in concatenation with other unlucky things.  Those things tend to even out--Nats have won on poor play by the opposition plenty of times.  The stuff that doesn't even out is talent and the Nats have loads of that.  So I'm not really concerned.

They can stop the "postseason priority" crap now.

 It is a losing streak. Hard pressed to think of team who went a season without one.

So are we going to hear about what a great pitcher Nolasco is after the game now?  Medlen, Kendrick, Halladay, Lee, Nolasco.

when you're in the middle of a pennant race and are completely collapsing like this team is ... yeah there's cause for concern.

Bunch of chokers. This team has September collapse written all over them, it's just starting a few days early.

LaRoche, this guy isn't a clutch player who can come through down the stretch. Harper is in over his head. Guys like Morse and Zim have never been in this situation. This team is not built for a division race like this down the stretch.

It can't be stressed enough how bad Nolasco has been all year. Even the Nats have had no trouble beating him around in his 2 starts vs us this year.

Maybe Zimmerman can insult us all again by making some more flippant comments about how the world is coming to end because we lost.  This all started with Zimm's error in the 9th inning against Atlanta LAST WEDNESDAY.  We have been ugly ever since.

Yes.  Why did he swing at the first pitch and then lunge at the second.  The time is now to bench him.

Giving up a hit to the #8 hitter, you just know they will find a way to plate the run.

It's the performance during the losing streak. Offense sucks, starting pitching getting bashed around, fat slobs stealing bases, mental mistakes all at once.

Not a lot of losing streaks are full of close-fought one-run games where everyone plays well.

Way to go Stras. Keep falling behind batters and let them tee off on your fastball.
