Did he come over in raft?

I hear ya but it doesn't matter.   He's probably been through more than most of us can only imagine.

He defected to the DR.

Alright, definitely has a curve that can succeed, and a splitter/changeup.

That was getting a bit cheesy. "He's worked so hard to come to such a fabulous country like America, etc."

So he came here on a plane, probably first class because I doubt he paid for the ticket?  What the hell is Ray talking about???

Geezus I gotta get my eye prescription checked.   I thought I read, "Spider looks good too."

I think Maya will be fine. Doesn't have the command tonight... but he's starting to get it.

Livan probably didn't come in a raft either. I doubt there are many rafts that can hold 300+ lbs.

Changed arm slots for that pitch. It was nice.

Have you watched the last few games, or do you only watch when they are losing?

This O Gee has two innings of 9 pitches against the best lineup we can throw out there.  Somethings got to give.

I hate to say this... but Ramos, physically, looks like Flores.

Nice at-bat for Wilson.

Already better than Pudge at the plate. Heh.

Anyone who says spider looks good has to have their eyes checked as well.  :?

I'm sure it's not as carefree as just getting a free plane ticket to the States when defecting from Cuba. his family life was probably deeply impacted.

Changed arm slots for that pitch. It was nice.

I've seen three good pitches from him:  slider, curve, and what they are saying is a splitter (looks like it has a bit more movement plus I want to see the grip).  He has had some problems with his fastball, but he has been changing speeds on it over the course of the game.  He has been changing the arm slot quite a bit actually, but mostly has been staying around a 3/4 arm slot.  Pretty good deception.  He should be more effective once the catching staff is more familiar with his repertoire.

I just got in...an RBI hit by the pitcher in his ML debut? Hopefully it's just nerves, because this was not the outing I was expecting to come home to.

Double by Tejada on a ball 8 inches inside and the hit by the pitcher was a neck high pitch that he slapped.  Result was worse than the pitches.  Just a nervous pitcher settling down.
