So it sounds as if this weekend's booth will not have FP working it. They said Billy Ripken will be in the booth with Carpenter. Hopefully that means we'll dodge having to hear the rest of the birds' crew.

The Bob Carpenter/Billy Ripken game is a FOX game, not a MASN game.

5th   J Baker singled to center, O Hudson scored
5th   Bryce "Is Nyce" Harper homered to center.

Padres      5
Nationals  1

Harper has great strength and bat speed. What he does with his right arm to start the swing would destroy anyone without those two elements.

What a load of BS...maybe Harper can hit one of those moonshots with runners on base. He seems to be developing the Adam Dunn Syndrome.

Are you claiming Dunn was somehow not clutch?

Espinosa should have been bunting for a hit there.  We need base runners.

So I've been taking a nap (pulled an all night for my exam) and I missed the first 4 innings... Did Strasburg just get rocked or...?

OK. I prefer that to having all the members of the birds crew.

FP - Right on the money about Harper.  The kid is exciting.  Just sorry the bases weren't loaded!

he would've swung through and missed that too.

Bernadina freaked him in the first and he wasn't right after that ... rain, etc.   Nap?   Hell, I worked all night and I'm here.   :)

Not really. The first batter was pretty much what ruined his day. He got him to pop out but Bernadina and Ankiel watched it and it landed untouched for a double. It cost him 3 runs.  :?

I was trying to stay up for the game but I completely crashed when I got back.

Great - so even without MASN, we still get subjected to Bob.  I guess he's better than Joe Buck though.

I hear ya.    That pop up in the 1st took gas out of Stras.   Changed his strategy.   Then it rained like hell for 8 or 10 minutes.   It's been weird so far.

It's probably my fault. I should've stayed up. Oh well, maybe we can score four in the next four...

No, no....it was a poor attempt at humor. Harper could not have hit that shot with runner's on base, as he was lead off. Second, it was only his 2nd tater. It was a poor attempt to ape the negativity running rampant on GDT's.
