As I posted in another thread, offensively, we were above average in most categories this season.  His offense, despite seemingly slumping a lot, was not bad this year.

Certainly not for a SS. He is a nice clutch hitter.

Anyone on the team that's more fun to watch at the plate than Zim? No way.

I said in May that the Astros were the 2009 Nationals. Their bullpen reminds me why I made that statement

The imbecile in India that ESPN assigned to score this game doesn't know how to post the previous score.  (Taking home on a wild pitch walk.)  So he posted the 5th run with no explanation.  They finally got a supervisor to fix it...

8th   D Espinosa walked, A Kennedy to second. J Maxwell scored on wild pitch by F Paulino.   3   4
8th   I Desmond singled to center, A Kennedy scored, D Espinosa to third.   3   5
8th   A Dunn singled to right, D Espinosa scored, I Desmond to second.
8th   I Desmond singled to center, A Kennedy scored, D Espinosa to third.
8th   R Zimmerman singled to right, I Desmond scored, A Dunn to third.

Astronauts  3
Nationals    8

How about the speed on Dunn?  He's a very underrated athlete.  Pretty damn fast for a guy that size.

The FieldFX system found that even Pablo Sandoval reached a peak speed of like 18-19 mph running the bases.  It's hard to remember sometimes that even the players we think suck in these categories are actually really damn good.

Man, I really wanted Dunn to hit 40 and Zimmy to eclipse last year's homer total.  Looks like neither will happen.

Unfortunately we are well below league average in the most important offensive category - runs per game.

Missing Hammer in this lineup is huge.  He took a ton of pitches, and has great plate discipline and power.  Need him 100% healthy next season.

That is unsustainable unless clutch hitting is more significant that I give it credit for.

I think we have to bring back Kennedy.

Certainly. Espinosa may or may not be good enough next season. Kennedy has shown that he can play respectable baseball. And with Kennedy, where is the dept..even if Espinosa shows he can hit.
