I rode the hybrid for the first 42, then switched with my wife and rode her road bike for about 10 miles before we switched back. It wa an expensive move on her part,,mI will be getting a road bike now. I was really surprised by the difference.

A good road bike will make you want to want to ride forever. I ride my old Trek mountain bike around the Danger Zone, but that's mostly because I don't like leaving my main road bike outside now that I've got an office mate.
