The Phillies.  Marlon Byrd beat a Bobby Abreu throw in the 12th to score on a RBI single by Fick.  I didn't look that up; it's one of those distinct memories.

OK I'm thinking of the game that hada long rain delay before it started and Soriano hit 3 home runs.

Kim's the only one I can think of off the top of my head; there must be some more less well-known posters that are moms.

I know we have kimnat and thunderstrucknatsfan but I don't know about any others, although I'm sure there are a couple more. We should have a thread for them.

Yep, that was a good one too, and against John Smoltz.  That game was in a way overshadowed by a heartbreaking loss the next day, where Gary Majewski gave up a 3-run homer against Wilson Betemit to give up the lead and the game in the 8th; 3-1 final.

I think 2k6 is right on your question. I was mixing it up with another rain delayed game.

I remember when Majewski gave up the bomb to Betemit but I thought that happened in the same game as the 3 homer night for Soriano.

Nope, but in that game Majewski gave up the lead with a ton of consecutive base hits; Soriano gave us back the lead with his third homer; a shot into dead center in the bottom of the 8th.

What does PWN stand for?

It doesn't stand for anything.  It's just gamer language for getting annihilated.

The word started when people started misspelling "OWNED" and spelling "PWNED" (this was probably due to the fact that the "O" key is directly next to the "P" key on a keyboard.  People now also use "PWNT" and "PWND" with the same meaning.

You're totally right. Soriano hit a 3run bomb to regain the lead. And the other game was one that was a ESPN sunday night game. The night before the game was rained out, which ruined our momentum.
