So Manuel is pulling the pitcher that owns Soriano, who is 0-7 with 7 strikeouts.  Ok, I'm okay with that.

atleast we can still take the series tomorrow night.  i thought a sweep was impossible anyways
I know it's hard...but don't give up yet.   :)

Wanna put money on it?  the majority of the blame for this L has to go to Soriano for sucking at the plate and blowing the flyball.
Don't speak too soon...he's up to bat now.   8)

go sori but have you seen him swing the bat lately?

Let's see if that's a motivator for Alfonso.

Apparently not.  Man, Fonzie is really stinking it up tonight. 0-4 with a run-scoring error.

Rivera in another 1 run game??!!  Why shouldn't I give up if Frank is already conceding the game?

Rivera's ERA in September, 0.77, and for the season, 3.74.  What's wrong with that?

that doesn't account for all of the inherited runners he has given up and all of the times he pitched in mop-up games.

Right, with a special extra bonus for any topping a milestone tonight, like say 1,500.

Hey it's the end of the season and the Phillies are one game behind the Dodgers for the NL wild card ..this game means more to them than us.  That's why there's a big showing of Phillie jerks.

Well I've never been overly impressed with him, but the basic stats say he's pretty solid.  I'm going to look further before throwing him under the bus.  And he did the job tonight, which is always the most important thing!
