Rizzo says Strasburg is in a long-toss program, will be throwing off a mound soon, and hopes to see him in 2011.

talking about Harper - Rizzo says the usual stuff - beyond his years, unlimited ceiling.  Close to finished product.  Was asked about CF, Rizzo said they'll have him working in all 3 OF positions with a concentration in CF and RF.

Know what?   I'm tired of Rizzo's and the rest of the management teams happy BS.

Didn't even get close to tagging LaRoache :? Where else was he supposed to run? The jerk was standing in the baseline.

I was on the phone while watching, can anyone tell me why the runner wasn't out at third last inning?

LOL, what? Aside from an injury, is there anything to not be happy about with Strasburg and Harper?

Technically there is no such thing as a set base path, unless you're talking about going to first base. The runner sets his own. As long as you touch the bag you're in the clear.

Nah, we'll trade Norris for a pitcher this off-season.

Horrid. Can't even throw strikes to these awful hitters.

MASN hasn't done a good replay yet, but it was some kind of interference.  The call was on Desmond.  There was a shift on for Howard's at bat so it was unclear who was supposed to cover third.

More from Rizzo:

Pleased with Lannan (obviously).  Starters are pitch-to-contact, tried to bolster the bullpen since they couldn't get a front line starter, strategy is 5-6 IP from starters then turn it over to the pen.

Talking about Werth, exemplifies everything we like in a player - winner, great leader in the clubhouse, does everything well on the field as well.  Smacks Morgan upside the head (ok, I added that).

Alex Cora has stepped up as a leader to mentor espinosa/desmond.  Stairs/Hairston are teaching young guys how to play.  Cora has an open offer to coach or manage at the minor league level when he retires.  He's another coach for the team.

And that's all folks.

Lannan has not pitched well at all tonight. Way too many baserunners. Not going to cut it

I didn't realize interference was considered an error.  Was Desmond blatantly standing in the way, or was it bang-bang?
