True, but just not for our team.

I think he's got the best stuff on this team when he's got it going, so a scenery change would probably be best for him to maybe become consistent w/ it. He's just never been able to do it here.

It's pouring with about 30 mph winds in Boca Raton

Does that mean the stadium is about to get hit with that?

I'm about 35 miles NE of the stadium.  I'll check the radar.

Very nice hit by Flores. We need more of those out of him.

HEAVY Rain looks to be about 15 minutes from the stadium, but may pass just south.

According to weather.com, it's raining right now in the zip code of the stadium, so it's probably imminent.

Any chance they let Perez pitch a CG, assuming they dont delay the game?

From FA:

"RHPs Jordan Zimmermann & Bobby Brownlie along with OF Mike Daniel were named to the Eastern League South All-Star team."

No way. Not with Acta's way of managing. How great would that be for our bullpen though? I actually don't think he can go more than maybe one more inning though. He's at 68 and the limit they set for him is 85.

I thought I read that his limit for today was 100. If so, he could get the CG.

The radar has light rain in what looks like the parking lot near the RF corner, just missing the playing field.  It looks like the nasty stuff will miss.

Lightning is hitting pretty close.  If this were a golf tourney, they'd suspend it.

Now that's a close call. Raining in the parking lot but not on the playing field.

It's a camp day - the local camps take their kids.   That still leaves the stadium with 60,000 empty seats.

But there doesn't look to be near that number though.

should be a quick delay I'm thinking.  Perez is a veteran, so he should be able to go back out there in 20-30 minutes (if that's all it takes).  Only 77 pitches thrown, 2 outs with runner on 2nd in bottom 7th ... plus the bullpen needs a break.  I say send him back out there.
