Exactly!  Flores was VERY lucky.  I was at a game in Memorial Stadium in '89 or '90 with an identical situation, the O's had a real speedy outfielder who got a 'cup of coffee' in the show, last name was Jefferson.  He juked to the catcher's right, he went for the fake, and he got around him on his left side and was safe.
