Bad timing for Flores' crappy play. Looks like he's starting to lose starts now.

I kind of like Harris leading off. He's been making good contact recently.

Day game after a night game. Nothing more. Give Flores a break. He was long overdue for a cold streak.

He really has looked like crap, though. Didn't he just miss a start 3 games ago, too?

Manny wanted a veteran catcher to catch Balester's first career start.

It's raining in Cincy. We could have at least 1 long delay.

No Bernadina

anyways, the Nationals should ALWAYS have a home series during July 4th Weekend. It makes sense.

Kearns is going to be our MVP in this one.

Btw, no one complain when Dunn hits a homer. Just know it's gonna happen.

Too high of a chance that it'll be a downer for those in attendance at this point. Who wants that?

Yeah I don't get why we aren't at home. Last year we shut-out the Cubs 6-0 on July 4th behind a Dmitri Grand Slam and a dominant Matt Chico performance and two years ago on July 4th Zim hit a walk-off HR against Borowski and the Fish.

We OWN Branson Arroyo's life.

Arroyo made 2 starts against us last year:
05/21: 2 IP 6 H 6 R 6 ER 1 HR 3 BB 2 K

08/01: 1.2 IP 7 H 7 R 7 ER 1 HR 2 BB 1 K

Kearns is 3/4 with 2 HRs off of Arroyo in his career. Young is 8/17 with 2 doubles and a HR off of Arroyo.

Bad form. I think Bernadina isn't ready to play in the majors. But never cheer against a player. Karma's a nag and we don't need any more bad karms.

He's been cheering against some of our players for a while.  :?

It sucks. I was at all the 4th of July games so it feels freaked up not to go to a game today.

Flores has had flashes of brilliance and has shown he will be a good one but the reality is that he isn't ready for MLB full time, no matter how much some people want him to be.

BTW, did anyone catch what Knight and Holliday, especially Knight, were saying about Dukes in the pregame?

Delay? I have my TV muted, but I saw the tarp on the field.

That's not true. Was he supposed to keep hitting .330 and coming up with clutch hits every game? He was our best hitter for a good month or so. He's still hitting .276 (one of the best BAs on the team).

Yeah me too. I actually have Led Zeppelin blasting. But they said they expect a window of about 1:30 hours to get this game in  :?

Only because he had a hot streak. Wil Nieves is still hitting .250 + because he had a nice streak. I know you're biased in favor of Flores and that's cool and all but seriously, Flores looks awfully lost a lot at the plate.

He's look lost for what, 5 games? No need to send him down. Let's let him work through it up here.

I never said send him down. I just said that the reality is that he was/is not ready for a full time starting role at this level right now.
