But it is interesting that they celebrated this, this weekend.  There's no reason to do it now other than that the Nationals are the opponent. Why not do it when the Yankees were in town?  Certainly more people would be watching then.

I'm afraid I don't see how it's rubbing our noses in anything.  DC has a long and storied baseball history.  Yeah it sucks that they lost a team twice, but it's not like that's ALL that happened.  Even a lot of posters here have fond memories of attending Senators games.

Why did you ever think it was a good idea?

Kids always look up to their older brothers until they learn to think for themselves :mg:

Because I thought it would introduce new points of views and I kind of like Gary Thorne. After awhile though it just really sucks. I hate these biased broadcastings conflicting... and I just hate the Os announcers.

I feel bad for the little brother whose older brother says "so and so is a better man than I'll ever be..."

Last night's crowd was bigger than today's crowd.  I'm surprised by that.

Dunn is by far our best hitter. If he doesn't make the All Star team, it is a robbery.

Half the teams in the NL have their best hitter at first.  Dunn's having a solid year, but not better than all the rest of the first basemen in the league.  He's not going to get it on defense, either.

Ranked by VORP:

A. Gonzalez  +33.1
Pujols  31.1
Votto  27.2
Huff 24.2
Dunn  23.3

The hell?  We're up 5-1 in the 4th and they're naming an O's solo dinger as the drive of the game? :|

Probably means cmd's older brother is producing the broadcast.

My brother is an Os fan, not hammonds, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Seems a bit early, doesn't it?  Did they say that?  I was busy typing a response to your whine in the other thread.

They're anticipating what's coming.  It's their version of "Game."
