great swing AK.. This team is an offensive juggernaut. They aren't even averaging a run per game over the last 4.  I expect more of the same over the next two games as we go up against two stud pitchers (James and Smoltz).

Dmitri Young starts a 9th inning rally that consists of one hit.  They are DARING him to steal.  AK47 ends the misery.
          Braves 8
Nationals ZERO

On the bright side, I have Chuck James and John Smoltz on my 2 Forum fantasy teams.

The final score got out of hand at the end, but it was meaningless at that point.

It is one thing to be bad, but other than blaming some bad luck, there is no excuse to be this unproductive. These guys are not without any talent on the club. I know Manny has going the teaching route, but he may have to do something to shake things up. He could go with something random in the order, or he could simply decide to start a lineup stacked with backups so the regulars can watch a game and get some fire. Don't know. But this is what he's paid for. They have to find some spark.

The Nats have piled up an astonishing 18 runs in 8 games for an average of 2.25 runs per game this season.  In the last 4 games they have tallied 3 runs in 4 games for an average of 0.75 runs per game.

That means even a quality start is meaningless with this team because they would lose it anyway given their offensive futility.

No, we came into the season with few seasoned players and a load of injury prone or cast off players.  The rest are just mediocre ballplayers, not Gods.  Truly, this is the type of team that the Indians in "Major League" were supposed to be.

(Speaking of which, I got the new "Wild Thing Edition" DVD today.)
Have you finally given up on nagging at everybody for having a "losing attitude"?    :o
