It was just the hat. I'd like to see a few more seconds of that to see the damage.

What's the temperature there? We hit triple digits today in Boston.

Yeah yeah I know, my sister in Franklin has been whining to me for the past three days.  It's only been in the 80's here the last few days because of storms but we'll be back in the mid 90's with 100% humidity in no time, and it won't "break" until, like, October.  My family nagging about hot weather is like me nagging about the cold when it dips below 40 for a few days in January :)

It hit 103 legit here in Richmond today, with a healthy dose of humidity on the side.

"How did it feel for Rob Dibble to question if you were real or not?"

- Debbi's postgame interview with the rock pile.

I wore shorts to work today. We're supposed to wear dress pants... but damn if I'm going to in this type of weather. I drove my car off the road this morning in the parking lot to put my car under a tree just so I could get some shade and not have my car turned into an oven.

Rob said Debbi should go out to Anaheim and do a story on whether or not the rock pile is real.

Anyone remember on WGN when they used to give the distance of every homerun and would say something like "And that ball traveled a very happy 425 feet... fly Southwest blah blah blah."

I'm not a huge fan of the way ball trajectories are often done because they take it from where the ball landed. Imagine a half circle, the right side being where the hitter hit the ball, and the left side being where it would land (it's not exactly that shape, but it's roughly accurate for this). What they'll do is they'll take the point it hit a seat for example, which is a point on that half circle towards the end (on the left), but not all the way. Then draw a line straight down, and a line right back to the original point. The distance of the ball was not accurately measured.

Why does Livo have to be so mean to the pinch hitter?

That just wasn't fair.

I'd let Livo go nine tonight.

He's in a groove.

Can't complain about Hernandez' outing tonight.
