After a careful review of the available evidence, I have concluded that the Nats organization is

just plain cheap
merely incompetent
cheap AND incompetent
a superbly run business
dealing with a guy who holds a grudge for reasons beyond slow pay

Nothing can account for the first few years of the checks being late, but part of me wonders if they just forgot about him in the turnover from Kasten to the other guy this year. Still not good, but man if I wasn't being paid on time I might call my boss before 420 days and before blogging about it. I would probably call ont he 1 day late mark. I might also go to a job that pays me on time too.
