What do you think. Maybe it was better winning a one run game, to get that out of the way, rather than a 6-1 game. Then we'll take the 6-1 win tomorrow instead!!!
Way to go nats!

I think maybe the fact that he almost messed up a 6-1 lead will wake the guys up. Those who saw the game saw that Watson has great speed, he almost beat out a routine out in his 4th AB... He showed he has speed and can leadoff that's for sure...

Good.  There'd probably be a mass suicide here if they lost.  Sheesh.

Well, we get ourselves worked up in here.  Hey, when the Nats have been finding such mind-blowing ways to lose lately (BALK?  WALK THE RUN HOME?  CHIEF GIVES UP 3 HITS IN A ROW? GUZMAN ERROR?), you can't blame us for getting a little tense.

And anyway, we always find a way to walk off the pain afterwards.  After all, we're always coming back for more punishment!

"Worked up" would be an understatement.  It's fun to watch/read, actually.

Good win.  Let's hope for another tomorrow.

SUPERSTITION UPDATE

Ultimately, I declare THIS the pivotal post of the game:

Quote from: "Nationalzfanatic88"
WHAT IF WE ACTUALLY SWEEP THE ASTROS?

This post enraged the Baseball Gods, who do not look kindly upon hubris.  They therefore caused us to subsequently give up 4 runs on freak plays.  And yet, this...

Quote from: "Nationalzfanatic88"
o...oops... I take it back then...I hope the "baseball gods" didnt hear me

...ultimately sated the anger of the dread lord Baseball Gods.  Like a fielder who drops a routine fly ball only to finally get the runner out as he's trying to stretch for a third base.  Thanks for the timely post, Natzfan!   :D

Hey eso, I thought about deleting both of those posts before the baseball Gods saw them, but I decided not to since I thought it might somehow otherwise jinx us.  What do you think of that?

You know it's going to be 6-5 by the end of this game.

Im quoting myself from way back in the 5th inning.

I was out on the town from the 4th inning on, but I followed the game closely on the car radio.  Your post about a 6-5 game was all I could think of the entire time I was out  :P

Sorry for all the posts in a row guys.  I had a lot of your posts to respond to by the time I got back.  Beben al capit?n del foro.  Or for our french-speaking friends: le capitaine du forum est ivre.

Yeah neither of those are right, most likely.  I used babelfish.  Whaddya want? ;)

And man is it ever about time.  That's worth giving up naming rights to my firstborn, isn't it?

You must be outside the greater DC metro area.  It's my understanding that MLB.TV is blacked out within the area.

THe only way to get all the games on TV is through Direct TV; otherwise, you get mostly weekend games only.

Bingo.  I live inside the Beltway.  Therefore, no Nats TV for me unless UPN20 is showing, or it's FOX's game of the week.

Thank you Mr. Angelos.
