Wasn't Vargas a character in bizzaro Seinfeld?  Kind of the opposite of Newman?

That one is going to be near impossible to top.
Ok I don't normally like Chris Russo's rants but he ranted about this announcing crew and he was dead right, they SUCK! Specifically Cal, as lifeless as a corpse up there and Ernie isn't much better, Ron Darling has personality but just flounders without a strong presence like Gary Cohen or Keith Hernandez with him, I mean who thought to put this crew announcing flippin' post season games??? How do they not realize that the announcers can totally enhance a great game?  They didn't kill the game the other night because it was kill-proof but damn that game and all the post season games deserve so much better than these two stiffs :smh:

from the wiki on bizarro seinfeld:
Quote
Vargus, a FedEx worker, is good friends with Kevin, opposed to Newman, a postal worker and mutual enemies with Jerry.

Josh Hamilton fell off a cliff, right? I wonder if this year will be Trout's last shot.

Why do you think that?  He's got a whole career ahead of him.

Because there's a lot of money and years tied up in Pujols and Hamilton. How well do teams with multiple albatrosses normally do?

Aoki is taking routes to these catches like he's one of those electric football game players just vibrating around the field.

By the way, I'm pretty certain that Kelvin Herrera tore his UCL tonight.

Yost channeling Davey Johnson this postseason with this "starters as relievers" fetish.

Yost continues to be a terrible manager getting away with horrible management.
