was that a lazy fly or decent contact?  Gameday said it was an elevated sinker.

Kurt? Looked solid contact on my stream.

Danny's was weakly hit.

Decent but lazy  ...  easy play going back for Jay in CF.

Another wasted runner. Feels so hopeless to be a Nats fan. Offense craps their pants with runners on base.

Gotta get something next inning with a PH or it's toast!

seriously. start getting on 3rd with less than 2 outs. we need to get a run before the 6th. we can't expect to get all 4 runs back in one inning.

Danny's.

They would have PH for Jackson had they gotten to him

Desmond doubles off the wall, announcers too busy interviewing Cards skipper to comment

I've hit mute and am watching the game with "Take On Me" playing on a loop instead.  So much better this way.

So much for that whole "winning the division is a big deal now" tripe.  Face the WC winner's 2-3-1-2-3, first two games at their house.  I never liked the new WC, still don't.

I don't know what it is, but even though the numbers add up.. our 4-5-6 don't feel big time. Just doesn't.

Even our beloved Ian Desmond fails us

I think it's worse now, should be 2-2-1. I'd also prefer just one WC.

Pitcher nearly takes Jackson yard. I never understood why Rizzo had a boner for this guy for a few years.

Compare to Carpenter doubling off the wall, announcers nearly jizz their pants and Costas exclaims that "Carpenter owns Jackson!"

Lol double launched off the wall. Our hitters are so weak.

And Edwin should have been yanked

This team is not ready for post-season baseball.

Two hits for the St. Louis pitcher.

Costas praising Carpenter's hitting.  Costas is getting on my nerves BIGTIME.

Bottom half of their line up is 6/8, 2 2b, and a 3-run HR.

Chief - i don't know why Matheny lined it up this way, but he went with his 2d or 3d starter in Lohse for the play-in, then hit us with #1 (Wainright), #4 (Garcia, hurt), probably his #2 when healthy in Carpenter, then back to Lohse and, if necessary, Wainright.  I can't figure that one out.
