Walt Weiss can suck one.  He held LeMahieu (sp?) out to preserve the batting title, and now today he gets canned.  I wonder if he is regretting that decision already.  Punk.

LaMaheiu had more at bats than Murphy and you can't complain about him not playing because Murphy didn't play down the stretch either even if it was due to injury.

Sure I can complain, Murphy was hurt.  LeMaheiu also played 1/2 his games at Coors Field, and only hit .303 on the road.  It was a weak move.

It was unsportsmanlike strategy. He was taking advantage of Murphy not playing.

What sucks is if not for those three pinch hitting opportunities, Murphy would have won.

OTOH, you could say that he didn't it was fair to take advantage of Murphy while he was hurt. Stayed on the bench to give him one last opportunity to win the title.

D.J. quite literally quit while he was ahead. This is the most Slate style contrarian thing you've said in a while.

But not when he was so far ahead that Murphy couldn't get the lead with one hit.

Very honorable move by DJ. I hope he comes to Washington.

OT, but yes, he would be an awesome bat and glove to have.
