47% of NBA teams won't agree with me anyway, they're dependent on the system, and think they're victims. The Heat don't have to worry about those people.

And no, that isn't a lot more teams in the hunt than the NFL or any other sport. The NBA just allows 16 teams in the playoffs. they would be fine with 8 since the other 8 don't really matter.
NFL and MLB have much more teams in the hunt year round that could actually do some damage. That's why the MLB added another wild card round. Look at how close it was this year. The NFL could easily do the same, but they already have two wild cards in place and have the two best teams have a bye.
I've never seen a league that was so easy to guess the playoffs.
