Extend him / Offer Arbitration. . I'd still trade him for the right offer though.

Extend! I love the way he plays the game. He provides protection to Zimm and he's a great clubhouse presence.

Dunn is a lot better player for us as a first baseman. That should be his permanent position going into next season.

As for whether to re-sign him or not that will depend on several factors including whether we are close to winning and he wants to stay here longer, whether Marrero is ready on the Farm, whether Dunn can still produce at the same level, etc.

imo, as of right now..

*If* Dunn proves he can play a competent 1B over the rest of this season, I extend him for 3 years.  3 years, 15m per would be my starting offer.

if he proves to be a major liability in the field, I trade him to the AL.
