Two more base runners and a grand slam later... nevermind, now I'm dreaming.

I'm with you there but I meant it is unfair to us.

These are the types of losses we're going to have to endure until we make some noticeable improvement...oh well

Nats lose 6 to 2.  Only 14 more hours until we do this again. Maybe I'll be ready by then.

At this point, Chad blowing a save is a 50-50 proposition.  :(

I did stay until the very last out.  Now I'm back and I just want to say that while this was a very fun game to be at, the combined failure of Cordero and our offense is absolutely unacceptable.  I feel especially bad for Jerome Williams, who after his stellar performance really could have used a win.  Coincidentally, the wild pitch by Colome not only could have made the difference in the game, but it also removed any chance Williams had of getting the win.  All around disappointing job by the Nats tonight with the exception of Zimmerman's sparkling defense and Williams' surprisingly sharp outing.

I was also there to the bitter end.  First things first: Colome (Can't throw strikes consistently), Rivera (Very hittable),  and Fick (Completely worthless with the bat) belong in the Minor Leagues.  Our offense makes me want to puke.  Although I am more than a little upset at Chad (See avatar) our offense should be able to put more than 2-3 runs on the board night in and night out.  They can never consistently score 4-5 runs or ever score 6-7+.  It's like our pitchers have to pitch perfect games every game just to win.  As a team we have to do everything perfect just to win. I was impressed with Jerome although he threw way too many balls.  Our entire pitching staff did not throw enough strikes and gave out too many free pases.  Now on to the Chief.  His outing was a complete disaster.  First, he walked the lead-off hitter which is a complete no-no but he gets bailed out when Alou grounds into a double play.  Then with 2 outs he gives up a hit to Shawn Green which I figured would be no big deal with Easley on deck.  Well, Easley hits a little dribbler and just beats out the throw.  I'm a little worried but still not panicking because Chief only needs 1 out and old man Franco is up.  Then Franco rips a solid hit into right field and I am disgusted.  I am in disbelief at this point.  I had been standing on my feet since the Alou DP and then Chief gives up 3 hits in a row and blows another game (Nearly 4 had Fick not made that nice catch).  It has never been any clearer that this is the worst team in the MLB than right now.
