Best GoT episode yet. Unbelievable acting, unbelievable build-up to the inevitable crapstorm.

It's amazing how a story can have characters who you root for and root against flip day to day and episode to episode. In totality everyone freaking suck, but some people suck less. I think that's a great approach that's hard to do and keep balanced. But they do it.

This explains everything:

Look at those eyebrows! They're attack eyebrows. You could take bottle tops off with those. They’re cross. Crosser than the rest of his face. They’re independently cross! They probably want to cede from the rest of his face and set up their own independent state of eyebrows!

Oh man, I love that, but can only imagine how much more fun this would be if Malcolm Tucker said it.

An Epic Marathon of Every Simpsons Ever is being aired on cable TV's FXX channel (which is buried in the sports channels section by Comcast).  It's all seasons from the beginning, running all day and all night, 12 days of 552 episodes.  They are currently on Season 14 from 2003.

Tonight at 10:30 pm: Treehouse of Horrors XIV (2003).
Note that in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Treehouse of Horrors XII (2001) omitted all of the crazy credits with morbid names. They used all of the real names of the cast and crew.

I used to watch the Simpsons for many years and then stopped about 10 years ago--just didn't seem as funny any more.
Would like to catch the older ones on this marathon

it definitely is a peaks and valleys show- you should check out the most recent season- by far the best they have had in years

First episode of Legends was bland, generic, and derivative.

I kinda liked the first episode but every episode after has gotten pretty boring.

If it weren't for Sean Bean I would have ditched this show after episode 2.

So the Fall network shows are returning, some this week the rest next.

I have to say, most of the new shows look absolutely dreadful. I mean Black-ish? A show about selfies? Not one but two(at least)lame rom com crap?

The only new show that looks decent is Gotham, which will be on right before Sleepy Hollow. Pretty nice Monday power lineup.

You were expecting network TV to be good? :lmao: Selfie looks like a freaking disaster, and it's unfortunate because they managed to get two good actors in Karen Gillan and John Cho for the leads. You get two talented actors, and the show you put them together on is a freaking modernized My Fair Lady?

The pilot episode is available to stream free on ABC's website. I watched it. John Cho and Karen Gillan are amazing actors, but the show's writers seem to be Luddites whose basic message is "Instagram kills your soul." Which, hey, I don't Instagram either, but wouldn't it be nice if there was a sitcom about young people that was actually written by young people?

Also, vague sexism all over the place in the show. Gillan commits a blatant and terrifying act of stalking, and Cho's just like "sure, whatevz"

I was kind of puzzled by TF's comment as well.    I watched it and I think the ending (last 10 minutes) may have defused some of TF's misgivings.
