Annoying. Hard to program the TiVo when it's on the MASN overflow channel.

Thanks for formatting the post, SF.

I'm not huge on this matchup, but we did crush Johnson last year  (of course Hanrahaha blew the save). We have an off-day tomorrow so hopefully Riggleman doesn't get too crazy with the Sunday lineup. I imagine last night really pissed the team off.

We already knew that though, especially after the crash he had at the plate yesterday.

Can anyone tell me if Stammen's performance last night was bad control, coming back to earth, lucky hits, just plain sucking, or whatever?  I didn't catch most of the game, just curious.

He did walk 2 guys which is a rarity for him. I don't think his control was much of a problem. He bad luck with his defense, but he did hang a lot of pitches which went for XBH.

I'm guessing MASN thinks they can serve more fans by showing the Red Sox series with the Os.  Just like I'm guessing that Jesus's first start will be on MASN even if it is the same weekend the sox and Os play next (6/4-6)

Anyone think the Willie start is to send a message to Bernie over some of the throws last night? Awful quick to pull him out of his platoon.

Dibble thought he was throwing too many strikes.

He did throw strikes... but he left the pitches right over the plate for the most part.

One thing that worked against Stammen was his missing pitches almost or in the dirt.  Most of these pitches were not even close to being strikes and most likely made the strikes he threw look inviting.  Seemed to concerned with keeping the ball down.  The lack of defense behind him all the way around including his own poor back-up of the plate(off line Morgan throw to home/Ross scored from third) that cost him a run.

Thinking back, he wasn't as bad as I/some others were making him out to be ... but he clearly didn't pitch like he and the rest of our staff have been recently.

What I like about Stammen is after the game he didn't make any excuses or anything (even with the extra day off), he couldn't locate his fastball and had to rely on his hard slider way too often.

Funny -I'm not down on J-Max.  I think he's had some hard luck on BABIP (.200?).  I like his K:BB (9:8 ).  More balls have to drop in for him, but it does not seem like he's desperate and flailing.  Does it look like he's making bad contact?

Yeah... JMAX is having a great year against LHP. Not sure where Hammonds got the idea that he wasn't.

.286/.524/.571/1.095 and great defense.

I wonder what it would take to wrangle JJ away from the fish.
