lmao. Olsen is indeed worse than Crab.

Ibanez dominates the Nats. domination.

freak Scott Olsen.

this is looking like a 4 game sweep. maybe Jay-Z can out-duel Chan Ho Park on Sunday.

good lord this is bad.

left handed pitchers should be able to get left handed hitters out.

Phils = Marlins. They own the Nats.

no seriously we have to make a move for a starting pitcher, either one of the kids or go out and sign somebody.  i can't believe manny acta/front office would want to keep seeing more of this.

i was wondering if we're ever going get a walk-off win... this team just doesn't seem to have the magic. at least last year we had a bunch.

it's detrimental for everyone. It's certainly not good for Olsen's confidence to keep getting his brains beat in like this. He is the most hittable starter in the NL. And obviously it's not good for the fans nor for the team to keep hitting well and losing games.

This is unacceptable. No pitching staff should be this terrible. The fact that the front office is fine with losing like this speaks volumes.

It speaks volumes about the pitching staff that I looked at the box score yesterday and thought "Only 6 runs?  damn, no wonder they lost!" :?

Our pitching staff is truly pathetic. The worst part is that we aren't starved for pitching in the system anymore. There is no logical reason why Olsen and Cabrera are allowing to crap the sheets every fifth day when there are young guys putting up numbers in AAA. I've been very disappointed in Rizzo thus far.

WTF? Don't you know that bashing Rizzo is sacrilegious around these parts?  :nono:

I enjoyed this lil diddy in the Post the other day ...

Quote
By some measures, the health of the franchise is solid. In its annual valuation of MLB franchises, Forbes magazine reported last month that the Nationals turned the second-largest profit in baseball last year: $42.6 million. However, the magazine also said the franchise had declined in value by 12 percent from a year ago, from $460 million to $406 million, ranking it the 14th-most valuable in the sport.

However, summing up the Nationals' health, the magazine wrote: "The owners of the Washington Nationals have badly botched the job thus far of trying to successfully bring Major League Baseball to the nation's capital for the third time. Blame the Lerner family, who bought the team in 2006 for $450 million and dominate the ownership group. Managing Principal Owner Theodore Lerner and the four other family members who are principal owners furnish one of the league's lowest payrolls despite a new, taxpayer-financed stadium."

live by the long ball, die by the long ball.

Willingham should be dealt for pitching ASAP.

oh hush up.  bowden was the one who put this team together.  but i will say neither should get off the hook.

yeah it'd be great if rizzo could make a move or two, but it's not like he's going to be able to trade kearns.  maybe johnson yes, but then our offense loses a huge bat.

dude nieves was sucking for a while and if you can't admit that, you're a blind homer ( :? ) ... he's playing better now though.
