Batista has been giving us a shot to come back. Too bad we're shooting blanks. Maybe it's true about Dunn's "procedure".  :?

just keeping fingers crossed this was a blip with olsen.

Spider thinks he's making excuses.  I think he may be toast.   :?   I hope Spider's right.

That's depressing to think. That wasn't all about Olsen. I just think our players should man up and acknowledge when they suck and stop using that as an excuse.

if Batista gets our only hit, that should almost count as a no-hitter.

Since that was Miggy's first hit since 2006 (w/ the D-Backs), Hernandez probably should still be able to claim a no-no.  Dude has lost 11 straight decisions, but the Nats look so uncomfortable at the plate.

Well most of the national media will probably rip on us as if it were, so there you go.

We haven't heard from Olsen yet, have we?

That's why I stressed that my comment was more directed towards the team in general.

So Bruney cleared waivers and will refuse assignment. So what happens if he continues to refuse to report and the Nats can't trade him? It sucks if they still have to pay him for that.

I don't know the rule but once he refuses a demotion to Syracuse, the team SHOULD be off the hook for his salary.

That's the way I see it but somehow I doubt that's how it goes. According to this report they have to pay him. I guess it's because he had a MLB contract. If they have to pay him I would just make the punk ass bum sit at home for the season.

WTF! according to the pattern the pitcher was wild and should not have been given that strike.

There's no way he should get that strike call.

According to Cots, he's got less than 5 years of service, and I think if he refuses assignment with less than 5, the Nats don't have to pay him.  If he had 5 or more, they'd have to pay him unless and until another team picked him up, and then pay the difference so the player is whole.

I'd rather have Desmond here.
