Eric Bedard treats left handed batters like a baby treats a diaper.

Why Nady instead of Bernadina?

love the fact moore is playing ... really wish he could get a week's worth of starts just to see what he could do with ample playing time.

Why Nady instead of Bernadina?

Bernadina doesn't hit lefties very well.

I love it.  Your best hitter should hit second, so if not LaRoche, why not Harper?

I thought your best hitter was supposed to hit 3rd.

Statgeeks say first or second.  I tend to think second is about right.  More at bats.

Those optimal lineups don't yield any significant improvement of runs though.

Nady can catch a pop up?

Ouch!

I get it...but when Bernadina is on a hot streak, he's special.

(Anybody accurately remember Jim Lemon's batting stance? My 50+ year memory is that he stretched his feet and planted them as far as he would have if he had taken a stride. Shifted his weight from back to front foot when he swung. I think he was about 6-5, which was the late '50s equivalent of about 6-7. Long arms, huge hands...he didn't need a full stride to generate home-run power. Of course, that is an 11-year-old's memory...)

I'd rather see him hit 3rd or 5th, just my opinion though. And I don't know why Lombo isn't in the lineup today...they pulled Espinosa yesterday and Lombo comes in and hits a solid single after Danny looked bad all game

Rear of avatar card listed Lemon as 6'4" ...  200 lbs.  ...   33 HRs in '59.    Had 2 HRs in one inning on September 5.   Six RBIs in that inning (1st) which tied two ML records at that time ...  In 1956, he hit 3 consecutive HRs in a game.

Because Davey doesn't give a freak. Lombo should be playing in LF over Nady with Moore in RF... lol
