Sweet inning all around.  Dunn, Zimmn, and our ace, looking like a real baseball team.

79 pitches through 7.

8-9-1 due up in the 8th inning for the Cards.

Pujols and Holliday will get to bat again too.

7 innings, 3 hits, 1 run.

pitch count is 79.

leave him in. hope he can get to the 9th. then let him try to finish, but keep Klej on standby for the first sign of trouble.

Reyes might be beefy, but he's no Ray "Burger" King.

Zimm will end up with over 30 HR's and 100+ RBI's. Not bad..not bad at all. He also gets his first gold glove...IMO.

Dunn and to a slightly lesser degree Zimmerman have been useless tonight.

yeah.

it's a shame that it takes 30Hrs and 100 rbis to get a Gold Glove though.

If you were facing the Nationals would you give either anything to hit?

Actually it took David Wright being hit in the head by a fastball to do it.

Wright getting injured helps his cause. Wright probably gets it again if he doesn't have injury problems. It seems like they just keep giving it to the same guys over and over. Sorta like politics.
