White sox expected to part ways with Jake Peavy after this season, buying out his option. he would make a nice 1 season replacement for E-Jax wouldn't he?
Not picking up an option and parting ways are not the same thing. The option is for 22M for one year -- the buyout is for 4M. If Peavy is happy with the situation in Chicago (and if they manage to do well in the post season, the happiness factor deepens) then he could potentially negotiate a new deal with the White Sox. Its not THAT far fetched.
