He's in chupacabra mode.

Carroll bailed Marquis out by swinging at ball 4.

i would say jamey carroll saved the game but we have the worst offense in the bigs and the game is already over.

I don't know that I'd seriously want to try this, but have we ever considered trying Clippard as a starter again?  I know he's found tremendous success in the bullpen but he's also a much better pitcher than he was a few years ago.
Bad idea. He's effective in pitching to guys that will only see him once in the game. Sounds just as bad of an idea as FP's idea to convert HRod to starter.

Most people here want Clippard traded, unfortunately.
Clippard is the sort of trade piece that might actually net us quality players, so I'm not really against that, if we found the right deal.  It was just a thought I was throwing out there.

Yup. Billingsley isn't giving up anything else. The Nats' offense is dead.

1:20 minute game because marquis/flores can't get on the same page.  if these guys are still nats next week, we're doomed.

What happened to Flores' defense?  He seemed to be whip-smart when he came up as a rookie, even in his Rule V year.

marquis trade value took a hit :lmao: and apparently rizzo holds his guys to such a high standard, nobody wants to deal with us.

he made a good move in getting ramos, but the HRod/brown deal was pathetic.

Honestly, Marquis' last 5 starts have made him virtually untradeable.

5 of his last 6 starts have been quality starts.

You're probably right, and he can't live on the fastball-changeup combo more than once through the lineup, but since he's started mixing in a few other pitches it seemed like it could conceivably be an option.  Like I said, I'm not sure I'd really want to try it.

he can't hit, he can't glove, he can't throw.  but the only thing he can do is still be SF's hero.

The Debbi Taylor Show starring Debbi Taylor, Pudge Rodriguez and Jayson Werth. Those two must be the only ones on the roster freaking her.
