Oscar Villareal3-2, 5.13 ERA................9-1, 3.97 ERA (mostly as reliever)
When the Braves gave Oscar Villarreal a chance to prove himself as a starting pitcher last week, he responded by throwing five scoreless innings against the Nationals. He'll attempt to do the same when he faces them again in the finale of a three-game series at Turner Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Nationals will counter with Billy Traber, who will be making his sixth start of the season. He's gone 2-1 with a 3.72 ERA in the four starts he's made since being recalled from the Minors. Although he allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings, the 26-year-old southpaw still got the win in his Aug. 16 start against the Braves.
