Bergmann pulled after only 82 pitches and 6 innings without giving up a run.
I wonder if they're really trying to get a good luck at Sanches/Schroder for a call-up.

You know, the way Tim Redding just dominates for 3-4 innings suggests he would make a great long reliever. Another option would be to find a similar 4-inning pitcher (Chico comes to mind) and have a sort of tandem starting deal. Once we have another good starter to finish the rotation in other words, in a tandem game Redding would pitch 4, Chico would pitch 3, and then we'd go to the bullpen. Just a random, crazy thought...

i wonder if they cut berg short because they plan on calling him up and don't want him to tire out.

In other news, Marlins starter Andrew Miller had another career game, holding San Diego to two runs in seven innings.

San Diego = Nationals West

so that makes sense

I actually wouldn't mind getting to see him, if only for the sake of seeing all the Nationals in action...

San Diego's offense is worse than our's.  Maddux needs to retire too.

Good news for us though. We get to face Miller next Saturday (I'll be at that game).  I was afraid he was going to get sent down but no chance of that happening now.

Yeah, if San Diego played the Nationals, it would probably be something like 1-0 in 11 innings.

If they went on a 48-0 run for the next nine minutes and won, it would be the greatest moment in the history of sports.
