Felt bad for Reading today.   Were they complaining on the goal that the MC player fouled or was there other action on that play that I missed?

Some will say that it was a foul on Barry, but both players can go for the ball in that situation. The defender didn't even attempt to head it out. He just stood still and Barry jumped over him. It was actually a nice goal.

How 'bout them Swans?     Nice "kick" by Williams.   :P

I was surprised he didn't catch red for that.

I thought it was clearly intentional.

This has been a great performance by Chelsea. Villa had a nice unbeaten run going.

I feel badly for Brad Guzan...8 goals (and counting) against.  Only the last one really seemed like it had any realistic chance of being blocked.

The one from Moses went between his legs. He really did have a decent game, though. Villa's defense was crap today.

Oh, right.  Nice block on Piazon's PK though.

...and next season there's a very good chance they'll be joined in the Premier League by their Welsh arch-rivals Cardiff (the Bluebirds have been trading the top spot in the Championship with Crystal Palace all season).

I'd love to listen to a game in Welsh.

I was in Wales a few years ago and a couple of folks were trying to talk me in "Welsh".   Now Wales is my heritage and I couldn't get it.   It reminded me of the evening in the Lakes District when I shared a few with a couple of retired Birmingham bobbies while their wives did some shopping.    The drunker we got, the less I understood and we were all speakin' English.    Welsh is like that without the alcohol.

Yeah, I hear ya.  When I lived in London in the 80s, there were parts of town where you might as well have been on Mars (which didn't stop me from trying to chat people up in pubs, but for all I knew they were speaking urdu).

Having spent the last seven years watching the Nats has had me tolerate the transition from King Kenny to Brendan Rodgers in Liverpool a lot better. I know what it takes to build a winner, it takes time and I think with a nice mix of youngsters and vets, the Reds will again reach glory of years past. You'll Never Walk Alone, nages, whether you want to or not!

They got imBaled.  Brutal.  Twelve unanswered goals in 3 days is a rogering of epic proportions.

They got Baled today.

...now just three points clear of the drop zone. QPR and Reading pretty much have two of the relegation slots wrapped up but that #18 slot is still up for grabs.

I like this boxing day thing.   I gotta complaint though.   What is it with the Premier League teams having so many different unis ("kits")?    Watching Liverpool today, I would have never guessed their main color is red.    What's up with the gray and black BS?

The "Darth Vader" kit? Yeah, that is their away kit. Sucks. What is worse is their "alternate" which is purple with white sleeves and off white tribal design. Thank God they hardly wear it.

I have no problem with all the kits considering most sports teams in multiple sports have a home, away and alternate. The Nats do too. ;)

I think the thing that is a pain is most of the MLB, NBA, NFL teams have some sort of defining see-able symbol  ...  Steelers' logo, curly W, NY,  Laker, etc. on their uniform/hat/helmet when they play.    Where as the Premier League teams have everything but the logo in plain site.   I could tell it was Liverpool by the Standard logo on their chests.    Then, up in the corner is the LFC logo on a black jersey.    Anyway, that's my rant.   I'm done.  :)
